Unfortunately the dealership ran my credit and I was preapproved for a Ford Mustang GT. We arranged an appointment today with Brandon Rachad to complete the purchase and I went with cash on hand to buy it as discussed. When we arrived 6:30 as arranged some clients had walked in few minutes before and they test drove the car, by the time we test drove the car we waited half an hour to find out they sold the car. I wouldn’t leave a negative review but this affected my credit score, I wasted 2 hours of my life, the visit also cost me $400 for the inspector and to buy this car I passed on an other opportunity to buy a decent car.

The one thing was the finance guy… he was a bit of a jerk and would walk away while we were still taking to him, then bring us back numbers for cars we weren’t even asking for. He was not a good listener. Felt like he was just wanting to make the sale and I didn’t trust him at all. Mike’s warmth made up for the finance guy, but he stood out starkly against the genuine nature of everyone else we interacted with at this location. I don’t even remember his name.

I had the absolute best experience at Sunrise Ford! Better than any other dealership in the greater LA area. I come from a Ford family, and I have genuinely always loved Ford cars. I had shopped around at a few different places (including Tesla).. and wasn't able to find exactly what I needed AND wanted. I'm not quite ready to go electric, and at other dealerships, I found myself in a sea of agendas. When I came to Sunrise Ford, all of that changed. They dove in to helping me immediately. They made time to answer every single question I had, and showed me every vehicle I was curious about - it was above and beyond. When I told them the vehicles I was interested in, they took the time to tell me EVERYTHING, in depth. Matt Powers took me for a couple test drives in different vehicles I was interested in and was exceptionally knowledgeable. He took his time answering everything and did not push me AT ALL. He and Vern Miller were I N C R E D I B L Y resourceful in helping me LAND THE PLANE. In fact they were so good that it made me xxxx bent on purchasing from Sunrise Ford. Sunrise Ford North Hollywood does not value your time or you as a customer. After back and forth for months on include markups and reaffirming with them that I was not interested in their forced value packages, I continued to receive emails and phone calls for weeks until a sales rep called me and told me there was the exact truck I wanted and the markup was negotiable, and that I should make an appointment to come in the following day. I did just that, but when I got there I was told it would take 48 hours for the truck to arrive. They asked for a deposit so I gave them one, which wasn’t a small amount, they asked for half of what I was putting as a down payment. This dealer is a long drive away from where I live. Thats not their fault, but they insisted I come in and make the deposit, right? Zero communication after I left my money. I texted the next day, zero response. I called multiple times the following day, as they literally said 48 hours. I was told they’d call back in 10 when I finally got through. I waited another hour before calling back. Turns out they never actually had the truck, just had me wait until the deposit was posted. I can’t believe how frustrating this is. Why on earth did I have to leave a deposit if they couldn’t even guarantee what they lured me in with? What’s more frustrating is somehow, the only stock they can promise me is a trim higher than I want. I spent months telling them I didn’t want any of the luxury stuff, I just want a truck. I’m not sure who is to blame, everyone is quick to hand you off and transfer you with zero context when you try calling, but the whole experience car buying here was horrible. If you have the option to buy from another dealer, I strongly recommend you take that route. Very quick to take whatever money they can then take their time or ghost me after.

[Service Department Review] I've been to Sunrise's Service department 5 times over the last several years, and I finally just can't do it anymore. I used to be a mechanic, I know how service departments should run, and this ain't it. I had the brakes on my 2010 Focus get really spongy, I made an appointment with them, and brought it in. They had it for 6 business days. Very little communication. I had to call them every time to find out what's going on with my car. Finally, they diagnosed as moisture in the brake fluid, recommended flush. I get it back and there's brake fluid all over the engine compartment. Rad, thanks guys. 1 month later, literally the exact same issue happened. Made another appointment. This time I told them I suspected it to be the hydraulic control unit bypassing fluid. I even printed out a diagram and made notes and gave it to them to show them what's happening. This time they had it for 9 business days. And they had it over Labor Day weekend so.... yeah not awesome. Still very little communication, day after day. I guess they're really busy. Good for them. So why did I make an appointment if you were just gonna park my car in your lot for 7 days and then finally get around to it. Just make the appointment 7 days later! Finally I get my car back, and the hood cowl is full of brake fluid this time. At least they're consistent I guess. I get in the car, and notice the side view mirror on the drivers side is pointed at the ground. I go to adjust it, and the side view mirror adjuster pops right off! I think I've adjusted that mirror once in 14 years of owning that car. I never touch it. Ever. The only other time anyone's been inside that door was when the same dealer fixed the door handle two years ago. So either it's been broken (by them) all this time, or it was broken this time. Either way, they broke it. Now to be fair, they offered to fix that as a "courtesy." Which, fine, I appreciate. But I would have preferred it not been broken in the first place. Or at least just own up to it when you break it. I know those plastic tabs are a pain. I won't judge anyone for breaking one. Just... you know.... fix it. I've owned a lot of Fords over the years and been to a lot of Ford service departments over the years, all over the country. And Sunrise, unfortunately, is the worst of them. They take forever, they're expensive, communication is poor, and they're work is sloppy. Go somewhere else with your Ford. Seriously. [UPDATE] They have not done the "courtesy fix" on my Sid view mirror adjuster like they said they would. It's been two weeks and not one word from them. I've called multiple times, and they're just ducking my calls now. Terrible Service department confirmed.....

This one star is for Mo Quinonez Garcia - Sales Consultant. Unfortunately, Mo lost a sale. Let’s start with the test drive. For someone who says they own the vehicle I unfortunately knew more about the car’s features than they did. Another one of my main points is to let the customer speak. Mo wouldn’t let a word come out at points. When trying to ask questions Mo would be speaking over me as if they are reading from a script or memorized response. Not allowing space to ask a question. This happened on multiple separate occasions - in person and over the phone . During negotiations, I asked for a counter option and immediately was met with a response of “I guess I’ll never call you back”. A sales person should make some kind of effort to make a sale. And not give attitude when they don’t hear what they want. All in all, I was very interested in buying but needed more time. Ultimately, Mo lost the sale because he was impatient and unprofessional. I’ll be buying elsewhere.

Terrible service department. I had a transmission fluid serviced and immediately afterwards check engine light comes on, fluid leaks onto exhaust and burning smell, truck now surges at high speed, and they will not stand behind it. Made me wrong that I don’t take care of the truck! It has been serviced by them since I purchased it every time on time. Still leaking fluid now. Have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Don’t go there ever. Terrible service mentality!

I live three hours away, so I had this lot run my credit, secure me a deal, and then I paid a $1000 deposit to HOLD THE CAR. I told them I would be drive down first thing in the morning to finish finalizing the paperwork and bring my car home. Did they hold it? Absolutely not. I’m all settled in for the night, put gas in my car, washed it to get it ready for the trade, and had my maps ready to go. Then I receive a call saying that my car sold. Despite running my credit. Despite my deposit. Despite being PROMISED that the vehicle keys were safe and my car was parked on the side of the building. They sold it anyway. I wasted my time, money, and energy for you to sell a car that was mine. And you justify it by saying you didn’t charge the deposit? DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY WILL ROB YOU FOR AS MUCH AS THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH. THIS DEALER NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED 2 days ago on 8/20/2022, I went in , had an appointment with a sales rep to see a 2018 Ford Explorer that had 38k miles and was for $24k online price. First person I spoke to was JASON BURDT, who seemed like a nice guy, did a test drive and everything. I was about to close the deal, even shook his hand. I then realized that they were doing too many "add ons". I was offering to put $10k down but then realized that they were going to finance the whole price not taking into consideration my down payment. He then said he was gonna try to get someone else to try and get a better rate than the one he was giving me. That's when he introduced me to CHANCE SMITH, who clearly has NO work ethics whatsoever ; This guy tried to finance me with a different bank, when he put the paper down, I realized he was financing a total different vehicle, one that was newer and with less miles. definitely not the one I was goin to purchase. When I told him that that was not the car we were supposed to be negotiating, and that I've decided to not make a deal with them, I asked for my information that I had provided them with which was my last 3 moths of bank statement, copy of my drivers license , copy of my W2-9 (which had my social security number) they refused to hand it back to me. I asked for it many times and was told that they were gonna shred it, I then said that I could do it myself because it was my personal and sensitive information and they proceeded to throw it in a locked box even though I had already asked for it before he did that. Then he told me that he had no access to the drop box (that he had just threw my papers in). I then asked to speak to his manager GABRIEL JAVREGUI and he just told me the same thing , that he didn't have access to the locked box either. I asked to speak to HIS manager and just said he wasn't there. yesterday, I missed a call from them, heard the voice mail and it was this guy named GARY DEHART, but based on a review about him threatening a customer on 7/31/2022, I rather not call him back . Never have I ever experienced something like this. I'm glad that a couple sitting next to me was able to walk away when they saw what was being done to me. But based on the reviews, I'm sure there has been more people who have been robbed in the past by SUNRISE FORD IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD.

Would definitely give this dealership 2 stars if we didn’t have at least one good experience while there. The truck that I was interested in was great but it was the customer service that was horrible. Since we’re we’re not happy with their offer we left, this apparently gave them the motive to give us something reasonable so we went back and we’re ready to sign. First thing they do is confirm the APR and price and take my down payment and leave us sitting in the lobby, no one went over Warrenty options, who was financing my truck, GAP coverage, or how to use the stupid security system. We were sent upstairs to an office worker named Giovani who was the one that was the most helpful, he explained what the salesman was supposed to and made sure we left happy and even gave his direct line to call. This is my 3rd week of owning the vehicle and the only person to have returned my calls was Giovani and he was the one that informed me of my financing company but couldn’t help with my other questions about the truck. NEVER had a follow up of service with this dealership and it’s so frustrating that I’m the one who is begging for information that should have already been given when I purchased the vehicle.

Our leased Ford Edge purchased at Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood was at its lease end. I contacted Sunrise Ford and spoke with Nick, the leasing manager. I let him know we would like to do a cash buyout. I provided him a little background about us as Sunrise Ford customers - We have been long-standing, returning Sunrise Ford customers who purchased 5 different vehicles over 15 plus years. I asked if (due to health concerns with the COVID pandemic and my husband being immunocompromised) the transaction could be with minimal contact - if the purchase paperwork could be prepared prior to arrival and if my husband and I could sign the paperwork outdoors at arrival. Nick texted us a message that he doesn't cater to specific requests, prepare paperwork prior to arrival and that we could contact his store manager or another dealership to do us the favor of purchasing our lease buyout. At Nick's suggestion to contact another dealership, I then contacted AutoNation Ford Valencia. One phone call to AutoNation Ford Valencia was all it took! I spoke with the sales manager, Austin. Angie and Zachary in sales assisted with the purchase. From the initial phone call, our health concerns were taken into consideration, and we were respectfully and gladly assisted. All paperwork was prepared prior to arrival and signed outdoors. From the time the phone call was placed to AutoNation Ford Valencia, to the time the purchase took place, was just a couple of hours. Thank you to AutoNation Ford Valencia for the care provided regarding our health concerns, the respect provided us as new customers, and the willingness to gladly assist us with a timely transaction. My mother, once again, was the victim of their less-than lawful practice. Her service “advisor,” if you can even call him that, Marvin A. Reyes is a real piece of work. After scaring my mom by telling her the vehicle’s condition was very dangerous, he hit her with an estimate that was close to $2000.00. Without a proper explanation of charges or an accurate description of the damages. Marvin A. Reyes just told her there was a missing bolt and nut in her suspension. My mom told him that was a lot of money and that she had to think about it (which meant calling me, like she always does when car trouble), to which he replied, “you have ten minutes to decide, I have to know right away because I have to order the parts.” My mom has only one car, which uses for work and living far from Sunrise she had to figure out her transportation and find a ride. She asked about a loaner vehicle, which is a tool regularly used by the sales department when selling a vehicle. LIES, in the many years as a customer she has never been offered a loaner vehicle when having her car repaired over several days. And this one time that she asked about a loaner, Marvin A. Reyes told her “We don’t have loaner vehicles, this is not a rental place, use common sense.” His job as an advisor is to help, inform, and assist the customer as much as possible, not to pressure, disrespect, and belittle someone like my mother, specially being an elderly lady without automotive knowledge. Pressured by this individual, she agreed to have the parts ordered, we talked over the phone, I told her to cancel and get a second opinion. We both called the service department for over 30 minutes with no answer, left messages but no call was returned. I even talked to a sales manager that evening and asked him to please pass the message to service and to make sure no work was done on the car. Next day, my mom got a call from Marvin, before they even open, letting her know the car was fixed and ready for pick up. Very aggravating, my main issue is the miscommunication, the unprofessionalism, and the disrespect. Even if the parts were really required, which I find questionable now due Marvin A. Reyes lack of integrity, my mom should have the opportunity to go over the estimate and the option to choose where to have the repairs done. I have been trying to contact management, which has been extremely difficult by the way.

I’ve purchased 3 vehicles from Sunrise over the last decade. Their pricing is always good so I kept going back, but their ethics are very suspect because of the VTP transmission lockout I was forced to buy because the pre installed it on my Edge. When i bought the car i asked if they would take it out they told me not only would i have to still pay for it (i think they charged me $375 for it) i would have to pay a couple hundred dollars to have it removed, but their techs don’t do the install or removal so the car would have to stay a few days. The thing has always been a problem because it resets when your battery goes dead and the “owners manual” is a single business card sized card with like 10 steps on it. Their service guys are worthless if the problem is more complicated than the steps on the card and there’s very little information online about the system besides a digital version of the card. After talking to a couple of ford techs about it, it’s a completely redundant system that makes the vehicle no safer than it is with factory equipment. One of those techs told me a dealership he worked at in Florida got in deep legal trouble for forcing an equally worthless product on its customers and eventually got the boot from ford. The worst part of this whole thing is after my car was unusable for a day because it was locked by this stupid device I was forced to buy, I finally got sunrise to give me a number for the company who sold it: Millenium Dealer Services. I talked to their tech and he said basically all you need to do is unplug it and it’s neutralized. That is not a security device, it’s a scam. It’s unethical and I suspect also illegal. I will not buy another car from them.

Horrible experience. I reserved a Custom Built 2021 Bronco First Edition (limited production of 3500) through Ford's website 18 months ago. I reserved within the first 30 minutes the Bronco’s became available for reservation. I was lucky enough to receive the reservation and the dealership was assigned as Sunrise Ford. I have had 3 issues with Sunrise Ford. First issue: - Sunrise Ford refused to take off two ‘optional’ fees from their finance contract. First is a $595 vehicle theft protection and second is a $395 Protection Plus (likely for paint protection, but I have no idea because no documentation was provided to me). Both fees are listed as optional… So we called down to have the contract updated to reflect that we are going to waive the optional costs totaling $990. When we called to have the fees waived we were told that they had been installed on the vehicle and that if we didn’t like it we could just not purchase the Bronco. After waiting for 18 months we were forced between choosing to pay an extra $990 in costs, or lose out on our dream Custom Built Bronco because they installed something optional which we have no interest in paying for. So, we sucked it up and paid the $990 even though we requested to have it waived and in no way wanted either of the optional items. Second issue: I work in finance and I know how much fraud there is surrounding financial wires... Its rampant. But, as I paid cash for the Bronco I needed to wire in funds to finalize the purchase. - Sunrise Ford had no formal wire instructions. They provided me with text messages with photos of wire instructions… 3 times… The first wire instruction received came as a text message photo that showed a letter with company letterhead and wire instructions; it looked professional. I tried to wire the funds, but the information provided was not accurate and my bank would not allow for the wire. I requested updated wire instructions and was again sent a text message photo, but this time a new photo of a document. This new document (wire instructions #2) had no letter head and looked 100% different from the original including alternate account information. I wired the funds immediately, but hours later I was notified by my bank that the wire was rejected and my funds were sent back. I called the dealership and asked for everyone I could to help me with the issue, with no one picking up their phones, and no one responding to my voicemail. @ 330pm I text the manager Gabriel for assistance, within the hour he responded and stated that he was following up with his finance department. The following day at 2:30 after not hearing back I reached our to Gabriel again. I received a response an hour later with a new photo (wire instructions #3) of a document reflecting new wire instructions, this new document once again had no letter head. The third set of wire instructions finally worked. To say I was concerned about being scammed is an understatement. When you wire funds, you cant get them back if you get scammed into sending them into an erroneous account. I am glad this worked out, but the level of professionalism in this day and age was far below acceptable when dealing with financial wire transactions. Third Issue: - Sunrise Ford drilled into my front end to mount their “Sunrise Ford” license plate mount. They drilled into the front end of my Custom Built Limited production First Edition Bronco without my consent. When the Bronco was delivered to me it was the first thing I saw when the shipping truck unloaded it… Absolutely jaw dropping how they could devalue my new purchase in this way without my consent. This was a process that took my wife and I 18 months to complete. We have a 1966 Bronco (original first edition) and we were so excited to finally have the new 2021 Bronco First Edition come in. Unfortunately the moment is tarnished by; shabby sales guy tactics (forcing us to buy the vehicle with already installed “optional” equipment which we did not request nor want), unprofessional and VERY unsecure wire instruction procedures, and a damaged front end of a limited release vehicle. Sunrise Ford will never have business from me again, nor should they have your business. Absolutely shabby experience.

I ended up at Sunrise Ford North Hollywood where Salesman Richard Niver found the exact ST I was looking for and Sales Manager Alex Chihaia beat all other dealer's quotes. Check to make sure the car you see online is actually at the dealership. They have a "storage"/other dealership in Fontana where many of their cars online are stored. Financing was easy and financing manager was great, but sales manager was slacking and slow and shady. The actual salesman was nicer, although he was young and a bit new so lots of questions he had to find out. Bait and switch was attempted by sales manager early on, tried to sell a different car then the one I wanted for a higher price, but when called out, he quickly "apologized" and said it was a mistake and fixed it. I'm not so certain it was a mistake. Certain items on the car were dealer added and quite stupid to be honest. I ended up paying for something that I wasn't supposed to, an extra $395 that was slipped in for a theft device that is beyond stupid. My bad as I should've realized how annoying it was and double checking the charges, but it was late, they were about to close and it was a Saturday and I had already been there 4 hours. I made an appointment, but since the car was in Fontana, and the manager sent the driver an hour later then he said he did, traffic etc. They were over 2 hours late for the appointment. So double check people. While the young salesman was great to work with, the sales manager is sketchy so be cautious and double check everything he says and does. The car is great once I actually got out of there and I'm pleased with it so far.

Big change from when I purchased my 2014 Fusion. Very convenient. Several service writers. Easy drop off and return. Sunrise is a bit inconvenient as I now live in Altadena. However, I know that I will be leaving my car with a servicer that knows the vehicle. It had only 33,091 miles when I brought it in. It is likely to be driven for a long time. I'd like to be certain that when it is inspected and serviced, it will be done by employees both familiar with my car, and there to build good will with a customer.

I went in for a ford lease carpet deal i got in the mail . I showed the paper and asked to check if I would qualify after 5 hours we finally get numbers to run credit . We offer the required amount of down payment more than 3000 to get the deal . Our payment did not match the deal and they said that was the best they could do, trusting them after 6+ years of recommending to all our friends and family we went ahead to do the paperwork. Well as I m signing paperwork I notice US Bank written in big letters and ask why we don't have ford credit if i have been part of ford credit for 6+ years and have excellent credit. The man told me ford credit was not taking any applications this year until the end of December. We also got stuck adding a protection plan because the man told me ford no longer have the $250 dent and scratches forgiveness at the end of the lease. Okay well I go home and my mind is running and wonder if because I did not get ford credit I was not able to qualify for the red carpet lease to get the 3250 down and 229 month for the ford ranger and tgats is why my payment was higher . My husband called ford credit and they tell him what they told us is false they are not closed and are accepting customers. So the finance manager lied 2 times to me infront of my husband and 5 year old . We have figured out after my husband trying to talk to a closer on the phone he admitted he never run our credit through ford like we asked and he also said he pretty much just took our down payment that we didn't need to give because it didn't even realistically lower our payment since we never got the red carpet lease sale. So where did our down payment go? Who knows no one cared to tell us and every single person my husband went in to talk to agreed they shouldn't have lied but that was it no "we are sorry " after this 3 year lease i will not be going back. The sales person was great but the closer and the finance manager lied to me so they can keep my down-payment fact!

Purchased my vehicle from this dealer and had Marvin as my service guy for every service the last 21,000 miles. couldn’t say nicer things. But I was disappointed in my last service. It was very impersonal and felt like it was a jiffy lube trying to squeeze every penny out of me. Plus I told my rep I was going to pick up at 12 and I arrived at 11:58 and he had just gone to lunch. But he never shared with me he was taking his lunch at 12. So I got no opportunity to ask about the service and how my breaks were and tires. Was disappointed in this service and experience at this dealer. Hopefully the next service will be better as I’ll give it another shot hoping this was a one off experience.

Terrible customer service and repair work. Receptionist openly discussed recently contracting COVID and did not use proper sanitation techniques or behavior. Dealership refused to return calls or claim responsibility for faulty and dangerous repairs

Do not recommend working with Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood as we've been poorly serviced by the sales agent and sales manager after a recent vehicle purchase on January 18, 2021. The lousy and lying agent Miguel Zapata Olivares misled us to believing that the additional charges and features that we had no idea and we never added - only to find out that they were after signing.  After we had negotiated the price of the car, they bring you a white paper where they outline the deal and they circulate the price of the car, on that sheet they have other charges that they never explain or lend you the sheet for you to see it. They focus on marking the price of the car and cover the charges below, then when you accept the price of the car only, they make you sign a paper accepting the price of the car, but what you don't know is that the sheet has other charges for things that the dealer adds to the car without explaining what each extra charge is. (All the extra charges are not on the window sticker)! The agent didn't give us any further detail on certain up charges for what becomes a shady benefit for their own commision. Buying at Sunrise Ford North Hollywood is more expensive because the dealer adds extra packages to the car during their unexplained and shady "sales pitch." After one declines additional packages and receives confirmation that they weren't added, Sunrise Ford does it anyway - they should be penalized for taking advantage of clients. Watch out with this dealer and be very careful with what they charge you if you decide to buy at Sunrise Ford. Please be aware of the following: VTP plan, $ 595 a little black box - no explanation $395 for unexplained protection  Edge Guard $199 - no explanation  Additional charges that combine for over $3,000 over the span of your finance terms without your own approval. This is how they're earning top notch commision through a betrayal of service. I called them as I thought that I would get an explanation from sales agent Miguel Zapata Olivares - his response was that I'm being a "cry baby" as if we were in grade school - isn't Ford supposed to provide world class service? Apparently not. Shortly after, I was able to make an appointment with the head of finance Aldo Tapia. He gives me the same lousy run down received from Miguel Olivares - he did not give me the time of day to explain the situation. Additionally, he explained that his sales agent is incapable of making a mistake as if he were not humanly possible. He was arrogant in his response and belittled me several times. He then gave me the contact of another manager, Daemeth Rooney - tried to contact him and got a response after a few days. Darmeth Rooney was super rude and aggressive; he yelled at me and said that he was not going to lose the argument against me (??). He was not going to take any of the deceiving charges off of the contract. He additionally added that he did not care if I take this to court and that I was going to lose because I had already signed. Regardless, he mentioned that he had to defend the dealer, his sales agents, and not the customers. In a cruel and rude way he tells me that he does not care if the sales agent was wrong because I had already signed. He refused to check cameras as he trusts his people and it wouldn't matter anyway because he's never lost a case (arrogance - admitting to fault?). No matter how much I complained and asked to adjust my payment or remove the charges, their solid remained as "no." They are rude liars and profiteers, let's see if they yell at a judge like that! The Ford company should solve this chaotic form of service to valuable clients.  Please do not buy at this dealer, all vehicles have hidden charges that they do not tell you about - pleas be careful and share!

I've been taking my Ford Fiesta to Sunrise Ford for service for more than five years. They have always been especially kind & helpful. I am just a little old lady --- I know nothing about cars --- & yet, I always feel that they have never overcharged me or done anything that was unnecessary. I have been more than happy with the service at Sunrise.
